Chicago Fire Season 11 Episode 15 Spoilers: Preparing For Severide’s Exit

Should we be preparing ourselves emotionally for Severide’s exit?

Earlier on, it had been reported that Taylor Kinney would be absent from Chicago Fire for an extended period for personal reasons.

Throughout this season, we have seen him lean on his passion for investigating fires, and on Chicago Fire Season 11 Episode 14, he and Mouch teamed up to investigate little fires in a certain building.

Slowly, Severide has been getting more and more into investigating arsons. Is this how he will exit the show?

Towards the end of Episode 14, he joins his wife at Molly’s, where she asks him something about Van Meter. It appears this was something they had been talking about offscreen.

Van Meter is an arson investigator for the Office of Fire Investigation, and he has teamed up with Severide on more than one occasion.

When Kidd asks about Van Meter, he shows her his phone, and she appears surprised. She then asks him what he is going to do.

That could be the setup for his exit, as we knew it was coming.

His constant involvement with arsons and his relationship with Van Meter might indicate his skills are needed. He has proven himself a great investigator; the OFI could use someone like him.

Van Meter may ask him to join him and investigate some fires, leaving him out of 51 for a while.

Spoilers for Chicago Fire Season 11 Episode 15 tease an emotional hour as Violet’s past loss hits her when Blake is in an accident.

Blake is in trouble.

Blake has been into Violet for a while now, but he couldn’t act on it because they are friends, and Violet was in a relationship with Evan.

Violet experienced loss when Evan died during an emergency, and the grief was so much that she didn’t leave her bed for days.

After Evan’s death, she has been slowly healing, but the past trauma threatens to consume her when Blake is in trouble.

While Blake was quite sure how he felt for Violet, she was too occupied to notice. However, on Chicago Fire Season 11 Episode 14, she realized she might have feelings for Blake when she kissed him and didn’t hate it.

This insinuates that she might have also been feeling something for him.

The episode has Kidd, Seager from the OFI, and Carver at the city stables investigating some fires.

Later on, the team responds to a fire emergency at the same location, and as Gallo rescues a horse, the structure is compromised by the fire and comes crashing down.

Violet listens to the Mayday call in disbelief.

The events in this episode are almost identical to what happened to Evan.

He had gone to save a man during a fire, and the building collapsed, burying him underneath the concrete rubble, effectively killing him.

Even if they are not romantically involved, they are still friends, which will be trauma-inducing for Violet.

Blake is a beloved figure in 51. This will shake the whole house if he is in trouble.

Even Carver — who has no friends — has begun to warm up to the guy.

Girls on Fire is in trouble.

Sadly, the fire department has to deal with budget cuts.

Some luxuries or secondary programs are the first to suffer when these cuts happen.

In the episode, a budget cut sees Kylie go face to face with some firefighters when some cuts are proposed.

Girls on Fire is a special program that started to get girls and women into heavily male-dominated firefighting programs.

Kylie was the program’s first member, so it holds a special place in her heart.

Firefighters are known to have this air of superiority, and it causes them to clash with other first responders, such as EMS.

This time, they side against Girls on Fire, and Kylie speaks her mind. Firefighters are a smug bunch, and they don’t back down easily, but so doesn’t Kylie.

Sylvie starts dating again.

Dating came up a lot during Chicago Fire Season 11 Episode 14, and her friends encouraged Sylvie to press on and see where things might lead with Dylan.

While at the city stables, Sylvie runs into Dylan, and they talk.

With Casey gone for a while now, it is time for her to get back on the market.

Herrmann struggles with Cindy’s illness.

Cindy’s cancer has changed Herrmann’s life in ways he could not have imagined. It was a crude reminder that our days here on earth are numbered.

The real struggle is watching his wife suffer so much pain, and there is nothing he can do to help.

Many responsibilities previously undertaken by his wife have fallen on him, which has become a great source of stress for him.

As Cindy goes through rounds of chemo, things are set to be bad from here before they become better, if they ever will.

With his physically demanding job and young children, this might be too much for him, and it would be wise to seek help.

Carver returned to 51 and promised to be on his best behavior and all factors considered, and he is trying. This will only remain the case for a short time because he still has feelings for Kidd, and with Severide out of 51, will he gain fake confidence and make a move?

Alert: Missing Persons Unit Sneak Peek: Mike Speaks His Mind

It feels like Alert: Missing Persons Unit just burst onto our screen with abduction cases and mysterious family drama, and now the season finale is upon us!

But fret not; the series is closing the season with a supersized, thrilling finale with twists, turns, action, humor, and shocking moments.

TV Fanatic was fortunate to score an exclusive first look at the finale.

The first half of the finale, Alert: Missing Persons Unit Season 1 Episode 9, is titled “Briana,” after the latest case the MPU has landed.

In this case, Briana is a bride who goes missing on her wedding day, and as you can probably guess, there’s more to the story than meets the eye.

We could have a runaway bride situation, and as the MPU discover more clues, they’ll realize that Briana has potentially been living a double life, or more specifically, as the synopsis teases a deceptive one.

It seems like Mike and Kemi are the two who will work closely on the case. It’s most likely because we’ll have Nikki and Jason mainly preoccupied with Keith sharing his story and what he knows about the kidnappers.

But between more family issues that involve Nikki and Jason and their kids and exclude Mike and a missing person case consisting of a failed wedding, Mike is having a tough time and in his feelings.

In the clip, we see Nikki and Mike conversing about the case, implying that Mike doesn’t want Nikki to work on it.

It’s interesting how vehemently he feels about that, especially since she is his superior. We know from the synopsis that Mike and Kemi are running this case and taking point on it, which is a switch-up from what we’ve seen thus far.

From the looks of things, Nikki must’ve respected Mike’s choice until a pivotal moment in the case. We see the two of them standing at a crime scene in the middle of the woods, and the clip opens with Nikki apologizing for being there despite his wishes.

The conversation inevitably veers into why Mike didn’t want Nikki there. However, it appears Mike gets to hide behind Kemi and her astute observations.

Mike shares with Nikki what Kemi said. He claims that Kemi believes that he is jealous of Nikki and Jason.

Kemi apparently suggests that blended families are naturally hard on people and that Mike likely feels like the third wheel.

Presumably, with a case that may involve a woman who either played her fiance, never had real feelings for him, or was angling for something else, perhaps Mike didn’t want to put Nikki in a position where she would have to face some truths, too.

Based on what we’ve seen thus far this season, it’s not a stretch or a figment of anyone’s imagination. Mike has a hard time and often feels like a third wheel in his relationship with Nikki. And Nikki still has strong feelings for Jay.

Mike shares all of this with Nikki, which is refreshing as they communicate their feelings, and Mike doesn’t deny that Kemi is onto something with her assessment.

Where things get confusing is while Mike doesn’t deny that Kemi is right, he also says that it’s not about any of that.

Ultimately, he talks about Nikki and Jason’s quest to find Keith’s abductor and how no one, even him, should stand in the way.

It’s another one of those raw, emotional chats for this pairing amid an investigation, but Nikki and Mike always find a way to express themselves openly and honestly.

Check out the clip below, and sound off with your thoughts.

The two-hour season finale of Alert: Missing Persons Unit airs Monday at 8/7c on FOX. Tune back in for our full review!

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15 Episode 9 Review: The Crystal Ball: Episode 200

Two hundred episodes?! Drag Race has made its mark in herstory.

It’s an iconic week on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15 Episode 9, and the queens are here to celebrate. They took the drama, the joy, and the style to The Crystal Ball.

Twenty-seven looks strutted the runway, but only one queen landed at the top. Anything can happen at a Ball!

“The Crystal Ball: Episode 200” was a heartwarming and exciting round that gave us a lot of nostalgia and fashion.

For anyone who has watched Drag Race over the years, there were plenty of callouts to iconic moments from the franchise. Even the scenes and one-liners that blew up in pop culture got a shoutout. It’s a great nod because Drag Race loves its nostalgia and herstory.

And that fun started with a long overdue Mini Challenge.

Was anyone else excited to have the Mini Challenge return? It has felt like ages since the queens got to have fun and compete in a silly Mini Challenge.

The Mini Challenges haven’t appeared since RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15 Episode 2!

RuPaul: Come on, Season 15. Let’s get EsTitties!
[Salina bends over in a pose]
Salina EsTitties: You wanted a twist, eh?!

If we had the original 90-minute runtime, we probably would’ve had more of them by now. Based on this game of photobombing iconic Drag Race moments, the queens proved why we had missed these challenges.

No one acted seriously during the photo shoot; everyone was having a good time and laughing. Some photos, like Anetra’s winning cannonball, were hilarious and gave us plenty of GIF-worthy clips. Come on, we need these challenges back!

Regarding the Maxi Challenge, The Crystal Ball felt evenly paced and fashionably strong.

Sometimes there are too many looks to take in when more queens are left in the competition. Like when RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 14 Episode 3 had back-to-back Balls and showcased 42(!) looks on the runway. That is way too many looks at once.

In this case, we only had 27 ensembles to critique.

A much better pace to see each look and not get lost in the shuffle. More episode time would’ve helped in some cases as certain looks were rushed through, but the overall Crystal Ball had a good flow.

For the first runway of “Start Your Engines,” Spice, Luxx Noir London, Marcia Marcia Marcia, Loosey LaDuca, Sasha Colby, and Anetra had my favorite looks.

Spice and Luxx updated the iconic jumpsuit in a sexy and fashionable way. Both accentuated their style and gave something different to the jumpsuit, like how Luxx went for high fashion with the two-piece fitting. Spice’s use of the race track as design accents and her flag incorporating her song lyrics were nice callbacks to the show and her performance.

Marcia’s jumpsuit felt very modern and high-fashion. The color-blocking pattern was an exciting design that caught the eye and elevated the look beyond being a jumpsuit recreation.

Loosey’s Princess Peach-inspired jumpsuit was a nice geeky touch that warmed my heart. Give me all the sparkles! All the video game references!

Anetra and Sasha were easily the top two on this runway.

Anetra’s neon jumpsuit was sexy, fitted, and chic. She pulled off the color amazingly, regardless of Michelle Visage hating any references or use of green.

If she saves it post-show, she could easily perform a lip-sync in that jumpsuit.

On the other hand, Sasha’s pink gown was an interesting interpretation of the racetrack jumpsuit. Kudos to her for being one of the only queens to turn the jumpsuit into a gown! She set herself apart and stood out for being creative.

The second runway (“My Favorite Ball”) was a favorite because many queens got creative and thought outside the box. Mistress Isabelle Brooks, Marcia, Malaysia Babydoll Foxx, Luxx, and Sasha had the Top 5 best looks on this runway.

Marcia tried something different with her bag fabric and created a milkmaid ensemble. Structurally, the outfit looked great, and she looked great in it. However, it did look a tad costumey, like it was better for a Broadway performance than the runway.

Talk about bald ambition.

RuPaul

Malaysia’s and Luxx’s hair ensembles felt like couture outfits ready for the magazine.

Luxx continues to wow me with her construction skills and design aesthetic. The hair looked perfectly flowed and connected, and it never came across as a crafty look, which is very important when using unconventional materials.

The height of high fashion.

Sasha’s weed bag-inspired ensemble was the perfect mix of camp and couture.

She looked fashionable, and she radiated in the green color. Plus, it was another unconventional look that set her apart from the others, another great choice by Sasha.

Oh, you gonna show your disco stick?

RuPaul

Though, the most surprising look came from Mistress. Her S&M club kid inflatable beach ball outfit left my jaw on the floor!

Seriously, that outfit had to cost a lot of money to make. The beach ball look was perfectly fitted to her, the bright colors popped on the runway, and the inflated breasts were hilarious, yet they didn’t distract or take away from the ensemble’s impact.

Mistress is an understated fashion queen. We need to keep our eyes on her because she delivers consistently and when no one expects it.

The final runway, “Crystalized Eleganza,” was a nice touch of gowns and sparkly designs. Most of the queens had similar silhouettes, so there wasn’t much variation when someone tried something outside of a dress.

Salina EsTitties, Luxx, Sasha, and Anetra had the four pieces that did something different and shined in their ways.

Sure, Salina ended up at the bottom for her bulky looks (we’ll get to this soon), but her crystallized red carpet gown was the most stunning out of her three ensembles. I loved the intricate pattern of her diagonal fabric design, and the pink crystals offered a beautiful touch that stood out against the white gowns on the runway.

It’s the grunting for me.

Spice

The same goes for Luxx’s Swarovski snowflake.

Her intricate design pattern and the texture of the crystals made her look like a high-fashion ballerina. Even though the look didn’t have as much fabric as the other queens, it’s impressive that she constructed the crystalized design of the snowflake/trinket in such an elegant way.

Sasha’s golden coral gown was another stunning look that shined. Sasha knows what works well on her body; whether it’s the fit or the fabric color, she makes the right choices for her style.

The pairing of the golden fabric with the crystal backpiece made it beautiful. It’s no wonder she won another style challenge.

However, Anetra’s crystal mermaid/backbone dress took my breath away. How did she stone that gown that fast?!

The entire fabric and the crystal spine accents were perfectly placed together for a luminous effect. Glitter and sparkles can be hard to work with because there are so many pieces; she did a fantastic job stoning them together in a chic pattern.

Now, let’s talk about the bottom two.

I agreed with the judges that Salina should’ve been at the bottom.

Her outfits weren’t appropriately fitted; they felt too bulky in places and didn’t have the extra wow power to steal the show. Don’t get me wrong, her outfits weren’t bad; if she had made light adjustments, she would’ve been safe.

However, the overall performance was right for the bottom.

In Spice’s case, she seemed more “low” and “safe” than the bottom two.

I didn’t hate her last look as much as Michelle and RuPaul did. The hemline wasn’t perfectly trimmed, but the dress looked trendy and fun, and the disco corset/top looked stunning.

Loosey probably should’ve been at the bottom two instead.

Her losing pageant queen and doggy bag dress were lackluster compared to many other outfits. Even the Princess Peach jumpsuit, while fun and geeky, wasn’t a strong enough piece to make up for everything else.

It was a close race, but it seemed like it should’ve leaned to her.

The lip-sync of “That’s What I Want” by Lil Nas X was a done deal. Spice wasn’t going to win in a lip-sync against Salina EsTitties; there was no chance of it happening based on her lip-syncing skills alone.

Spice isn’t the strongest lip-syncer. She tried her best, but she needs more time to train and grow her performance skills.

Salina focusing on the emotion behind the song and the lyrics were a good decision.

A mid-tempo heartfelt song like this is the perfect opportunity to give a solid lip-sync without stunts or tricks. It’s all about serving the lyrics and providing good expressions. Salina had emotion all over her face.

Last Thoughts From The Werk Room:

  • After Spice’s elimination, the queens coming out to trot on the main stage was incredibly cute and a sweet goodbye!

  • Anetra’s conversation with Salina was heartbreaking and raw. You could feel the emotion in every second that passed.

  • RuPaul performing on the main stage is the gift that keeps on giving.

Now, over to you, Drag Race fans.

What did you think of “The Crystal Ball: Episode 200”?

Are you sad to see Spice go? Which look was your favorite on the runway? Which look was your least favorite on the runway?

The Rookie Season 5 Episode 17 Spoilers: Elijah and Abril Return!

An action-packed Valentine’s themed episode had us break away from regular events on The Rookie Season 5 Episode 16.

Before the episode, The Rookie Season 5 Episode 15 saw Lopez lay down an elaborate trap to try and catch Elijah Stone once and for all but failed.

Celina requested Nolan to get her the file for her sister’s murder case, but Nolan was hesitant to let her see what was in the file as it was too graphic.

On The Rookie Season 5 Episode 17, we revisit the Elijah storyline and what happens to Celina after she sees the file.

Spoilers for the episode tease an action-packed hour with us at the edge of our seats.

Elijah and Abril are back!

It is pretty clear that Elijah and Abril are very bad people with no qualms about committing casual murder. Separately, each is a force to be reckoned with, but together, they are a tsunami.

Lopez laid an elaborate plan to try and catch Elijah in the wrong, but the plan failed in the last minutes when Elijah sensed that something was off. Later, he met with Abril, and they put two and two together and realized they had been played.

Both are proud people who think they are above everyone else, and it is a good guess that they didn’t take kindly to being played against each other.

Remember the saying an enemy of my enemy is my friend?

Each might not be the other person’s favorite, but a common goal reunites them.

Revenge is best served cold, and it’s poetic to do to someone the same thing they did you.

The LAPD learn that Elijah is orchestrating a large buy, and they decide to intervene. They go in guns blazing, but what meets them is something they could not have anticipated.

Taking out an entire police department would be impossible, even for someone as resourceful as Abril and Elijah. The only way to get to them is to lay a trap and take out as many LAPD officers as possible without exposing themselves.

All signs point to this drug buy being a ruse.

And since the LAPD is not made up of idiots, they must suspect as much, which is why they need someone with some knowledge about the workings of the Elijah organization.

Monica seems like the best bet since she appeared shaken upon learning that Elijah might kill her when he was done using her.

The LAPD enlists her help to try and figure out what Elijah and Abril are up to.

Knowing Monica, she might not go along with their plan that easily.

She knows how brutal Elijah can be to her enemies and values her attorney-client confidence too much to divulge anything to the cops.

Being in a fix because she can be charged as an accessory to a crime; if she knows anything criminal Elijah might do, she has to give them something.

She doesn’t have to speak the truth, though.

In the meantime, Abril is hunting anyone who betrayed her and seeking revenge on them.

Nolan and Celina reopen Celina’s sister’s case.

Her entire life, Celina had been working towards this. Getting into the LAPD and finally figuring out what happened to her sister.

Her sister’s death wrecked her entire family. Her mother never leaves the house for fear that the killer might still lurk around.

Celina relies heavily on her instincts, and something tells her there is something off about this case.

She might just be right because she and Nolan reopen the case, and they discover a discrepancy that has them following new leads.

It is unclear what that discrepancy is, but judging by the gender and race of the victim, police incompetence is the first thing that comes to mind.

Another crossover.

We anticipated a crossover event on The Rookie Season 5 Episode 16, but that didn’t happen.

This time, however, a crossover has been confirmed. Elijah and Abril are a lot for the LAPD alone, so they enlist the help of the FBI.

This crossover event is teased to be big, with virtually every character from both shows appearing in the episode.

Garza leads his team during a bust, but things go differently than planned when something bad happens. Simone comes from another room with sadness written all over her face. The best guess is that someone dies.

Trouble might be in paradise because Tim and Lucy are going something.

First of all, Tim learned that Lucy orchestrated the move from court liaison to metro. And while he wasn’t angry with how things turned out, he was concerned about what others might think of him when his girlfriend does things for him without his knowledge.

Lucy was also exploring options for undercover work, and Tim seemed concerned about what that meant for them.

They learned that UC work could be strenuous for relationships.

Nolan and Bailey’s wedding is coming up, so we expect an update on where things are currently.

Nyla invited her mother-in-law to her house, so it will be interesting if that happens.

The Goldbergs is Coming to an End After 10 Seasons

One of ABC’s longest-running series is coming to a close.

Deadline revealed Thursday that The Goldbergs will wrap its run in the spring, with the Season 10 finale serving as its series finale.

A series finale date has not been set, and it’s unclear at this stage how long the episode was set to be the swan song.

It’s hard to imagine a series reaching a tenth season and leaving the air without a conclusive ending, but stranger things have happened.

The Goldbergs Season 10, airing Wednesdays on ABC, is averaging 2.5 million viewers and a 0.38 rating.

The numbers are down over 30% in the demo this season.

With aging shows having rising costs, they need to make a strong case for renewal, which comes in the form of ratings.

The numbers swell to 3.2 million viewers and a 0.6 rating with a week of DVR factored in.

The Conners and Abbott Elementary remain heavy hitters on the comedy front for ABC.

The network also recently launched Not Dead Yet, which has been a strong force with a solid digital footprint.

ABC previously renewed Abbott Elementary and announced that A Million Little Things was coming to a close.

The fate of the rest of the network’s schedule is up in the air.

The network typically holds renewal decisions until late in the game, but with a possible writers and directors strike, there’s a good chance renewals could come earlier than usual.

As for The Goldbergs, it said goodbye to longtime series regular in 2021, and the show pivoted in the aftermath.

Before that, fellow cast member George Segal died from complications of bypass surgery at 87.

The series revealed his character, Pops, had died in his sleep.

The Goldbergs currently stars Wendi McLendon-Covey (as Beverly), Sean Giambrone (as Adam), Troy Gentile (as Barry), Hayley Orrantia (as Erica), and Sam Lerner (as Erica’s husband Geoff).

What are your thoughts on the cancellation?

NCIS, CSI: Vegas, Seven More Shows Renewed as Three Beloved Dramas in Limbo

CBS is getting a head start on the 2023-24 TV season with nine more renewals.

Veteran dramas CSI: Vegas, NCIS, and NCIS: Hawai’i have landed renewals for next season.

On the unscripted front, The Amazing Race, Lingo, Survivor, Tough as Nails, 48 Hours, and 60 Minutes.

CBS previously renewed freshman dramas So Help Me Todd and Fire Country, as well as veteran comedies Ghosts, The Neighborhood, and Bob Hearts Abishola.

“This season CBS is continuing its winning tradition, delivering an unparalleled combination of top returning series and new hit shows that are entertaining huge audiences on both broadcast and streaming,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment.

“It is a testament to the stellar work being done by our best-in-class talent in front of and behind the camera that we have had yet another exceptional season, and I know we will only continue to build on this foundation of outstanding programming as we look ahead toward next fall.”

While all of the above shows have been renewed, CBS has yet to make a decision on Blue Bloods, SWAT, and East New York.

While the three shows never made the cut for the mass renewals, there’s a chance they could all be renewed as we approach upfronts in May.

The networks have been making earlier decisions this year due to a possible writers and directors strike, which could shutter TV production across the U.S.

Renewing shows earlier allows them to get back into production earlier, meaning they will have some episodes banked for next season should the strikes go ahead.

Blue Bloods is usually a lock for renewal, but any show this late in can face an uphill battle to close deals for renewal.

Budgets expand as series continue, thanks in large part to cast salaries.

We should get definite word on the Friday drama’s future sooner rather than later because CBS will want to craft a series finale should the show conclude.

The network recently canceled NCIS: Los Angeles after 14 seasons, with the series finale set for Sunday, May 14.

S.W.A.T. is a lock for renewal, while East New York could go either way.

The freshman drama took a hit with its recent return to the air.

The most surprising renewal was CSI: Vegas. The series has dipped in the ratings this season and is showing no signs of growth.

However, CBS touted the series’ digital success when it was picked up for a second season, so the show may bring in post-airdate viewing for the network.

NCIS is entering its unprecedented 21st season and will continue to have its companion, NCIS: Hawai’i, around for crossover opportunities

What are your thoughts on the latest wave of renewals?

Which shows do you want to be saved?

Chicago Fire Season 11 Episode 14 Spoilers: Blake and Violet Kiss!

Something significant happened on Chicago Fire Season 11 Episode 13, as Carver realized he was developing feelings for his lieutenant.

That realization surprised him, as he didn’t quite anticipate it.

He also got a visit from his estranged brother, and the two events put him in a vulnerable position, and he lashed out at Kidd.

It is inappropriate to talk to another person the way he did and unprofessional to speak to your lieutenant like that.

Spoilers for Chicago Fire Season 11 Episode 14 tease a tense episode as some of the previous storylines from the past couple of episodes get revisited.

Carver deals with the aftermath of his realization

As with many viewers, Carver has been winning me over with his human nature. He has been hurt in the past, and it is only natural we sympathize with him.

He came to 51 and ruffled everyone’s feathers because of his attitude, and Stella, being the good lieutenant, tried to get him to fit in better with the rest of the crew.

They grew closer from the moments they spent together talking about personal stuff. While Kidd might have interpreted this as something totally platonic and innocent, Carver had been falling for her.

Seeing the confusing emotions race through him in that garage rescue was heartbreaking.

It is a common tactic people in unrequited love use to protect themselves when they act mean toward people they are in love with, hoping that they would love them even more.

That was the reason he lashed out at Kidd like that. He knew spending more time with her would not help his situation.

After that distasteful turn of events, Carver turns to alcohol to try and numb his emotions. Having no other friends to talk to can be dangerous as he can become an alcoholic quite easily.

His only option is to confess (which is not really an option) his feelings to Kidd, and maybe they will find a way to move forward or pack up and leave.

He won’t confess, at least not this soon, since he loves and needs the job.

Kidd confronts Carver

Kidd knew Carver had crossed a line and even went to Severide with her concerns. She blamed herself for his behavior, thinking she had crossed some personal boundaries with him.

That is so typical of her. She first tries to find how she might have contributed to something that went wrong.

She visits him at his house, which is poorly kept. She stresses the importance of her being able to trust him.

She will forgive him by keeping up with her nature as a good lieutenant. In the promo images for the episode, they can be seen at Molly’s, drinking beer.

Maybe this will be the wake-up call Kidd needs to draw some boundaries with him. And perhaps the boundaries are what might help him get over her.

Violet and Blake kiss

Blake has had it for Violet for a while now but didn’t want to make a move for a couple of reasons, chief among them being that she was with Evan.

He tried to distract himself by getting into a very casual relationship with a girl who turned out to be Herrmann’s nephew, but that also didn’t get far.

With the death of Evan, Violet is now single, and Blake is single.

Someone takes a keen romantic interest in Violet, and he won’t leave her alone. It is safe to say that Violet is not looking to date anyone any time soon as the Evan scars have not yet healed.

While trying to get the interested party back off, she kisses Blake on the lips, at Molly’s, in front of Sylvie.

While this is innocent on Violet’s part, it is not as much on Blakes’s.

You what that means? Drama!

Ritter gets some screen time.

If you watch Chicago Fire online, you know Ritter is one of the most underused characters. The most we see of him is when he, Blake, and Violet do their three-musketeer thing, which usually involves sitting at Molly’s drinking.

The show could benefit from utilizing their token queer character, considering they haven’t had the best track record with having or keeping their queer characters.

In this episode, Ritter catches a politician in a compromising position. It is unclear what this position is, but knowing politicians, it is either corruption or a sexual thing.

I hope this is the gateway to having Ritter get more screen time, and this particular storyline isn’t thirty seconds long.

Mouch and Trudy team with Severide to investigate an arson

Has Severide become an expert arson investigator?

He helped catch an arsonist earlier in the season, and it seems there is another arsonist.

This time, Trudy brings a case to Mouch, and they rope Severide in to try to solve it.

The episode teases an emergency where a kid is trapped in a motorized machine, so the crew responds. We can expect a twist in that case.

Cindy’s cancer storyline continues, so we expect to see how her beginning chemotherapy affects the rest of the family, particularly Hermann.

Those were our spoilers, Chicago Fire Fanatics. What are you most excited about? I know I want to see how Gallo feels after that kiss. Check out the promo below.
