How’s this for scary good — Paris Jacksonjust upped her acting game after landing a role in the upcoming season of ‘American Horror Story.’
Production sources tell TMZ … Paris will appear in at least 1 episode of the popular FX anthology horror series. The highly-anticipated series, which was delayed in 2020 due to the pandemic, is being dubbed “American Horror Story: Double Feature.” Series creator Ryan Murphy recently teased it and said there will be 2 horrifying stories in one season.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
Yes, season 10 will be split into 2 mini-seasons. Murphy already confirmed, “One set by the sea” already has its cast … featuring Sarah Paulson, Macaulay Culkinand Kathy Bates. Murphy said the cast for the second mini-season, “A second by the sand,” will be announced soon.
But, we know Paris will appear in the second mini-season … as will veteran ‘AHS’ star Emma Roberts, who has been part of ‘AHS’ since season 3. Season 10 is currently in production.
BTW … this is not Paris’ first acting gig. She’s had several already … including appearing as Rachel Wells in the FOX series “Star” and appearing in the comedy film, “Gringo.”
News of Paris’ new TV role comes on the heels of her and the UK band, The Struts, dropping the music video to their first single, “Low Key in Love.”
The 90 Day Fiancé universe continues to grow after Discovery+ ordered another spinoff – this time set in the kitchen.
The factual giant’s streaming service has ordered 90 Day: Foody Call, which will see couples from the franchise invite viewers into their kitchens and dish on recipes for relationship success, all while preparing traditional meals from their home countries.
The series, which will launch May 29, will star the likes of Tania & Syngin, Russ & Pao, David & Annie, Loren & Alexei, Robert & Anny and Sasha & Emily.
In addition to cooking up authentic meals, viewers will put them in the hot seat with questions such as “What is the most awkward interaction you’ve had with each of your in-laws” and “What is the most shocking thing you learned about your spouse’s culture?”
The series is produced by Industrial Media’s Sharp Entertainment.
It is the latest spinoff of the TLC series, which has become a massive hit for Discovery. There are currently two spinoffs airing on Discovery+, 90 Day Bares All and 90 Day Fiancé: The Single Life, as well as more than eight others airing across the company.
Boss Matt Sharp recently told Deadline that it was tricky to produce the show during quarantine. “That is a show that depends on someone else’s timeline, these are real couples, we’re not putting anyone together in that show and they’re real visas and schedules. If you put that into the context of Covid, that’s just another hurdle that you have to deal with,” he said.
Sharp admitted that it took a while to sell the show in the first place. “We always thought it was a great concept and we pitched it for a number of years. It was one of those ideas that sits in your bag and I refused to take it out of the bag. People were ready for something super authentic and we can see that in the viewing pattern, particularly over quarantine,” he added.
Eric Andre says he was the victim of racial profiling during an interaction with police inside the Atlanta airport … and now he’s asking Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms for help.
The comedian claims he was singled out by two plainclothes officers Wednesday at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, saying the cops stopped him on the jet bridge for a random drug search as he was trying to board his flight.
Eric says he did not consent to the search and claims he was the only person of color in line to board the flight. He believes it was a classic case of racial profiling and what he calls the racist war on drugs.
EA’s warning other travelers passing through ATL to “be careful” and he’s asking folks in the airport to track down the officers’ names. He also says he’s already talking to his lawyer.
Eric, who says he was in Atlanta for work, was able to make his flight … but he’s telling Mayor Bottoms, “I know this isn’t the PD you want representing in your airports.”
“Patience” ended up being a high-stakes episode for many.
Nicky and Henry made significant progress with the Zhilan case, and more was revealed about the personal lives of the Shens.
Zhilan made headway and obtained another weapon, which begs the question: can she be stopped?
Thankfully, Zhilan got a lot of screentime on Kung Fu Season 1 Episode 3. Her character keeps getting more interesting, and Professor Chau also provided some information about Zhilan’s past that offered more to chew on.
Zhilan’s complexities were explored in-depth, which felt very well-earned for her character.
After she kidnapped and tortured the professor, Chau mentioned that weapons aren’t his only forte. He also learned a lot about the ancient families that protected the weapons, including Zhilan’s family.
He knew about how Zhilan’s (and Pei-Ling’s) father got killed at a very young age, and Zhilan had a strong emotional reaction to that knowledge, which showed a side to her that we haven’t seen.
Yvonne Chapman went into details in an interview The CW released, and she said that it seems Zhilan is the hero of her own story while being the villain in Nicky’s.
Her scenes with the professor showed that Zhilan’s emotions run deep, and she is not just collecting the weapons for ultimate power. Something else is going on from her past.
The professor was an interesting character, and it’s too bad we didn’t get to see more of him before Zhilan killed him.
Professor: I’ve been watching you. You’re necklace. The crane. The insignia of the Zhang family. One of the eight guardian families. You are Zhang Zhilan, you have a sister, Pei-Ling. Your father, I read somewhere that he was murdered. You must have been just a child. Zhilan: You know nothing. Professor: I have no reason to tell you where weapon the is, whether I speak or not, this ends one way. With me, dead. So, I would like that coffee — please.
What we did get from the professor were more details on the eight weapons. It’s interesting because now we know more than Nicky and Henry do, and it seems that Zhilan is now two steps ahead, not just one.
Nicky and Henry are going to have to act fast if they want to catch up to Zhilan. She is working quickly, and leaving them behind could be perilous for Nicky.
Luckily, Nicky and Henry made some advancements in their investigation. Nicky found something strange: A key inside the box that she and Henry had stolen from professor Chau’s office in America.
The key is the next clue in their investigation, but it seems like we’re going to experience some hiccups.
Evan is helping Nicky to track Zhilan, but he is skeptical of Henry’s motivations and started looking into his background.
The tension between Nicky and Evan has already been uncomfortable. Nicky is bound to find out that Evan is looking into her possible new love interest, and that’s an explosion waiting to happen.
Henry is interesting, though, and I understand why Evan would be eager to secretly do some digging into his past.
Henry showed that his knowledge doesn’t just include Chinese History; it also involves picking locks. I will admit that he conveniently has many skills that have come in handy for Nicky, and the reason could be something more than he’s letting on.
Henry and Evan finally met, and their introduction was strained. They both hold some feelings for Nicky, and now that they’ve met, the option to explore that rift is now on the table.
Sadly, Kung Fu is falling into a familiar trope: which hot guy will the lead girl choose?
I hope that that topic doesn’t get too much focus because the show already has cheesy action scenes — we don’t need cheesy romance scenes added into the mix.
Speaking of cheesy fighting, there was plenty of action to quench your thirst for it.
A fantastic training scene transpired between Nicky and Henry, and it contained some of the most believable fight choreography in the series so far.
Henry: Right now we’re training. You’re distracted, rushing it. Nicky: Well if you just learned that your Shifu her own sister, who’s now probably kidnapped the one person who might know where the weapons are which means you may never find Zhilan? You’d be distracted, too. Henry: Yeah, distracted maybe. Sloppy though?
Nicky took him down with ease, but they didn’t use any of the dreaded slow-motion editing I’ve come to expect, and I’m incredibly thankful for that.
Another great, fast-moving scene found Nicky taking down an armed assassin, breaking through a supply closet’s door.
Nicky’s flashback as she tried to break the door lent more insight into her years of training with Pei-Ling.
She channels her past, training, and mentor’s guidance to help her through challenging situations, and the flashbacks have offered valuable insight into Nicky’s psyche.
Nicky still had many emotions to deal with as she was still actively trying to patch things up with her family.
Ryan’s emotions were racing, and Nicky made more of an effort to mend things with him, discovering he had a secret date and possibly a boyfriend!
Joe and Ryan are adorable together, and both of their scenes were incredible.
Seeing minorities represented in the LGBTQ+ community is rare, and I was thrilled to see them represented here on Kung Fu.
Honestly, the improvements that each episode makes on the last are welcome, and I genuinely believe that the quality will continue to improve as the season progresses.
So far, the writing has improved, and everyone seems to be settling into their characters quite well. The continuing storyline is progressing nicely, and the family dynamic is improving naturally.
The first two outings had everyone balancing fraught emotions, and this round was no exception.
The whole Shen family has emotional baggage, and some are hiding more of it than others.
Althea and Mei-Li led interesting arcs, which left both of them emotionally drained.
Mei-Li and Jin are having significant issues with their marriage, and she felt the heat and ended in tears.
Althea had some sort of secret about an old boss that abused her or something along those lines. Not much was shown, but she wound up overwrought and defeated.
So, Kung Fu Fanatics, what did you think of this episode?
Did you enjoy seeing more Zhilan?
How long will Althea and Mei-Li be able to hide their emotions?

EXCLUSIVE: Below Deck, the hit Bravo reality franchise, is set to take to the seas with more spinoffs in the works as the franchise continues to make headway.
Deadline understands that NBCUniversal is in the early stages of developing two more spinoffs – a show set around Australia and one set around Iceland.
The Australia-set season is being produced by Banijay-owned producer 51 Minds Entertainment, which is behind the original show and its two existing spinoffs, Below Deck: Sailing Yacht and Below Deck: Mediterranean.
The original series chronicles the lives of crew members who work on and live aboard a superyacht during charter season.
Interestingly, the Iceland-set series is being developed by Warner Bros-owned Shed Media. It’s not unusual for different production companies to produce various spinoffs of a network’s hit franchise in the U.S., given that cable networks often own the rights to shows. This has happened with Bravo’s The Real Housewives franchise as well as a slew of series on VH1 such as Love & Hip Hop.
Rod Aissa, EVP Unscripted, Documentary & Lifestyle, told Deadline recently that he considers Below Deck a “perfect” reality series.
“You have people coming in for a week, so there’s always new characters that come in, in terms of the guests,” he said. “You have a crew that is getting to know each other, and relationships are evolving over the course of the season. You have these drop-dead gorgeous backdrops — you just want to be there, and you want to be on the boat, and you want it to be served by these great people that are running the boat.”
He added that in the future, Below Deck shows could air on Bravo or on other NBCU platforms such as Peacock. “I’m addicted to Below Deck,” he said. “There’s not enough of them that I could watch. I want to go to all of these places.”
Below Deck launched in 2013 and just aired its eighth season. Below Deck: Mediterranean has five seasons and Below Deck: Sailing Yacht, which follows the crew on a 177′ sailing yacht, recently produced its Coratia-set second season during the pandemic.
51 Minds President Christian Sarabia recently told Deadline that the franchise is a “monster.”
“It’s just the ultimate reality show,” he said. “We always talk about producers always want to create bubbles and put people in situations. There’s no better bubble than a ship that you can’t leave if you’re going to get in the middle of a fight and the furthest you can run is the front of the bow. It’s really an Upstairs, Downstairs or the reality version of Downton Abbey.”

AnnaLynne McCord is not ashamed to admit she struggles with mental health problems — specifically revealing her diagnosis for dissociative identity disorder.
The former “Nip/Tuck” and “90201” star announced she has what used to be commonly referred to as multiple personality disorder during a sit-down interview with Amen Clinics founder Dr. Daniel Amen.
AnnaLynne says she agreed to have her session recorded in an effort to remove the stigma around mental health problems. She says her doctor once told her the disorder was very serious — and added, “You’ll see me just show up with a black wig and a new personality. I was this tough little baddy, and then I’d be the bohemian flower child.”
AnnaLynne also told Dr. Amen it was during her run on “90201” when she realized her acting gigs were compounding the issue. What’s more, she said during her 2012 project for the horror film “Excision” things got scary because she said she couldn’t get out of character.
She said, “I played a very cerebral, disturbed, strange little girl that was very close to who I feel I am on the inside. It was very exposing, very confronting, probably a bit re-traumatizing without realizing it.”
And then there’s this … “The crazy thing about it was that I wrapped that film at 2 AM on a Tuesday and had to be happy, crazy, Beverly Hills blonde bombshell on Wednesday at noon. I couldn’t find her, she was not accessible. I was dark, I was very deep into this character Pauline and I couldn’t get out.”
Dr. Amen told AnnaLynne her brain is not permanently damaged, but said “it’s struggling and it can be better, and that’s our goal.” He said AnnaLynne’s brain can be dramatically better in 3 months … to which an exalted AnnaLynne responded by raising her hands and shouting, “Let’s do this!”
Dancing With the Stars might be bringing back one of its most popular stars.
Rumors started swirling when Tom Bergeron shared a clip of Al Pacino‘s Michael Corleone from The Godfather: Part III, when he says, “Just when I thought I was out… they pull me back in.”
Bergeron’s clip was accompanied by the caption, “Stay tuned…”
As fans questioned whether this meant his return to the iconic ABC reality series was a done deal, he shared a video on Instagram in which he said that the response to his potential return has been “very flattering” and “heartwarming.”
While he admitted the tweet was cryptic, he did offer the following:
“Thank you for that and I promise I will let you know what I’m really talking about by next week at the latest, alright? So, a little bit of patience. I think it’ll be worth it. We’ll see. Thanks again.”
Bergeron could have said in the video that it is not related to Dancing With the Stars, but not saying it keeps hope alive for fans.
It’s also possible that this is an entirely new project, and with fans intrigued, it will get an even bigger awareness when the project is announced.
Bergeron shocked fans everywhere when he revealed in July 2020 that he had been let go from the series.
“Just informed Dancing With the Stars will be continuing without me. It’s been an incredible 15 year run and the most unexpected gift of my career. I’m grateful for that and for the lifelong friendships made,” he tweeted at the time.
Co-host Erin Andrews was also let go at the same time, and Tyra Banks was hired as the sole host of Dancing With the Stars Season 29.
While there was a mixed response to the shake-up, the ratings were up considerably. As for what led to the change, EP Andrew Linares said producers wanted to revamp the format.
“I think changing the host was all about evolution, it was about making the show feel fresh, making it feel new [and] kind of make it reach out — maybe to a new audience as well as the audience that’s been there for years,” he explained, according to US Weekly.
“I think it’s taken it to a new pace, in terms of moving faster and just feeling different. I think there’s a real danger when a show’s been on for a long time that the audience almost gets bored of the rhythm,” he said of the changes.
“It doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with it. It just sort of gets a little boring — the rhythm of it. So, I think it’s changed the rhythm of the show in a really exciting way.”
Bergeron, for his part, has been open about closing the book on DWTS since, regularly saying he does not see himself returning.
With the series celebrating its 30th season later this year, it would make sense to have a celebratory event that brings back multiple cast members.
Alas, time will tell.
What do you think of the potential return?
Would you be on board?
