Marlon Wayans says his eldest child is transgender, and now identifies as male with a different name … changes Marlon says took some getting used to on his part.

The comedian made the revelation on “The Breakfast Club” … telling the crew that his new comedy special, “Rainbow Child,” was going to tackle this exact topic, in hopes of helping other parents who have trans kids.

Marlon explained last week that 23-year-old Amai goes by Kai now … and MW calls him his son. You can tell it’s still fairly new, because he accidentally mis-genders Kai while discussing him.

It’s pretty eye-opening, but it’s clear Marlon has embraced the change with open arms — although, he admits it’s been a learning process … and took quite a bit of education, on his part, to come around to love and acceptance.

As he explains here, Marlon was in “complete denial” for a while — but now says he has nothing but unconditional love for Kai. It’s unclear when exactly the transition happened — but Marlon’s been photographed with Kai and his other son Shawn in recent years.

According to Barb’s new memoir, ‘My Name is Barbra,’ Steven Tyler and co. have her to thank for their hugely popular single “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” … ’cause she says the inspiration from the song actually came from something her husband once told her in bed.

The way BS tells it … she and her then-BF James Brolin were laying next to each other one night (sometime in the mid-’90s) not long after they’d first met/started hooking up.

She says they were staring at each other, when JB said … “I don’t want to fall asleep.” She asked why and he replied, “‘Cause I’ll miss you.'” Barb adds … “What a beautiful, poetic thing to say. And it captured a moment of complete bliss… physical, emotional, spiritual.”

About a year after that, in 1997, Barbra says she was doing an interview with Barbara Walters on “20/20,” during which she recounted that sweet moment … something Diane Warren was also watching from home when this episode aired, so claims Barbra.

One thing led to another, and DW eventually wrote Aerosmith’s first #1 hit in ’98 … which went on to be used in “Armageddon” and be nominated for an Oscar that year too.

After seeing how much success the song garnered, Barbra writes … “It was so gratifying to see so many people responding to Jim’s words. Well, no wonder… so did I!”

Cops believe they’re zeroing in on the man suspected of going on the shooting rampage in Maine … because his home is surrounded by law enforcement vehicles, drones and helicopters.

The wild and tense scene is playing out at the Bowdoin, ME residence of alleged gunman Robert Card, and cops believe they’ve seen some movement in a window of the home. Police are shouting commands out over a loudspeaker, telling Card — or whoever’s inside — to come out and surrender.

At this point, cops aren’t confirming there’s definitely someone in there, but they’re taking every precaution.

The huge police presence includes armored vehicles and drones in the air. It seems pretty clear, they have no intent of sending officers into Card’s last known residence, and will instead try to encourage any individuals inside to come out with their hands up.

As we reported … Card was captured on surveillance cameras during Wednesday night’s massacre — when he opened fire inside a bowling alley and then a bar, killing 18 people.

Card got away, and a huge manhunt ensued all day … forcing authorities to instruct residents in several towns to shelter in place.

Meanwhile, folks have been buying up guns left and right … and Pete Davidson and John Mulaney have postponed their upcoming weekend comedy gigs in Maine.

Card has a military background — he enlisted over 20 years ago in the Army Reserve — so, law enforcement’s taking a slow and careful approach outside his house.

Suzanne Somers‘ husband, Alan Hamel, penned a heartfelt poem to his ailing wife in her final hours … and she was able to read all about his love for her the night before she died.

Alan gave Suzanne the touching words Saturday night — Suzanne’s publicist R. Couri Hay told People she read the poem and went to bed, later dying peacefully in her sleep.

Hay says Alan gave it to her “a day early,” so it likely was a present for her birthday, which would’ve been Monday.

Alan, a film producer, lists in all caps, the many ways he uses the word “love” in his daily life — from emails to his family, to shows on Netflix, and even about “A GREAT MEAL.”

However, Alan says nothing comes close to the love he has for his wife of 46 years … adding, “THERE IS NO VERSION OF THE WORD THAT IS APPLICABLE TO SUZANNE AND I EVEN USE THE WORD APPLICABLE ADVISEDLY.”

He goes on, saying there is hardly anything in the world that can fully encapsulate his feelings for her — writing, “I’LL TAKE A BULLET FOR YOU DOESN’T DO IT. I WEEP WHEN I THINK ABOUT MY FEELINGS FOR YOU.”

He says they’ve been together for 55 years, being married for 46 and they haven’t spent, “EVEN ONE HOUR APART FOR 42 OF THOSE YEARS.”

Alan ends his touching note, saying the best way to describe the fire between them is simply, ‘US’, UNIQUELY, MAGICALLY, INDESCRIBABLY WONDERFUL ‘US.’”
