Snowflake Mountain: Cancelled, No Season Two for Netflix Reality Series

Snowflake Mountain TV Show on Netflix: canceled or renewed?

Netflix has cancelled Snowflake Mountain. The reality series debuted in June 2022 and features a group of coddled British people taken to the Britain wilderness. Surviving means a $50,000 cash prize. Matt Tate and Joel Graves hosted the series.

Netflix described the series as follows:

Snowflake Mountain is a funny, warm-hearted reality show which takes a bunch of clueless kidults who aren’t yet living to their full potential and puts them through their paces at a wilderness survival retreat to try and kickstart them into standing on their own two feet. The back-to-basics camp is a rude awakening to just how pampered their lives have been so far. At stake is a transformative cash prize for the lucky winner. There’s no running water, no parents to wait on them, and, worst of all, no Wi-Fi. But, by connecting to nature, they’ll learn to graduate as fully-functioning adults.

Per Deadline, the reality series was cancelled because it didn’t “hit the heights of other unscripted series, such as Too Hot To Handle.”

What do you think? Did you watch Snowflake Mountain last summer? Did you want to watch a second season of the series on Netflix?

Sex Education: Season Four to End Netflix Series; Premiere Date Announced (Watch)

Sex Education TV show on Netflix: ending, no season 5

Class is nearly out for Otis and his friends. Netflix has announced the Sex Education series is ending with its upcoming fourth season. The streamer revealed the show is ending and a premiere date for the final episodes with the release of a trailer.

Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee-Lou Wood, Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Mimi Keene, George Robinson, Chinenye Ezeudu, Dua Saleh, Alistair Petrie, Samantha Spiro, Jim Howick, Rakhee Thakrar, and Daniel Ings star in the UK comedy series which follows an awkward teenager (Butterfield) whose mother is a sex therapist (Anderson).

The news of Sex Education coming to a close isn’t a big surprise considering several cast members have made it clear that they wouldn’t be back if there had been a fifth season. Rakhee Thakrar, Tanya Reynolds, Patricia Allison, and Simone Ashley already departed the show ahead of season four.

Here’s more information from Netflix about the final season of Sex Education:

The final season of Sex Education is coming.

Yes that’s right, the fourth season of Sex Education will be the last, and the residents of Moordale are going out on a high. This season will be full of love, laughter, tears, friendship, new relationships… (and old).

Asa Butterfield leads the cast as Otis Milburn, alongside Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee-Lou Wood, Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Mimi Keene, George Robinson, Chinenye Ezeudu, Dua Saleh, Alistair Petrie, Samantha Spiro, Jim Howick, Rakhee Thakrar and Daniel Ings.

Joining them for the final season will be Emmy award winning actor and Schitt’s Creek star, Dan Levy, Thaddea Graham (Doctor Who), Lisa McGrillis (Somewhere Boy), Marie Reuther (Kamikaze), actress and model Jodie Turner Smith, comedian Eshaan Akbar and newcomers Felix Mufti, Anthony Lexa, Alexandra James, Reda Elazouar, Bella Maclean and Imani Yahshua.

Since arriving on Netflix in 2019, Sex Education has been nominated and won multiple awards, including the top prize for Best Comedy Series for season 3 at the 50th International Emmy Awards in 2022. Sex Education S3 had 66.6M views in its first 91 days (504.9M view hours divided by 7.59 runtime).

In a letter to fans, creator, lead writer and executive producer, Laurie Nunn said: “We are incredibly proud of Sex Education and feel indebted to our brilliant writers, cast and crew who put so much heart into making every episode. They have worked tirelessly to bring you the final series, and we can’t wait to share it with you.”

Season 4 logline:

Following the closure of Moordale Secondary, Otis and Eric now face a new frontier – their first day at Cavendish Sixth Form College. Otis is nervous about setting up his new clinic, whilst Eric is praying they won’t be losers again. But Cavendish is a culture shock for all the Moordale students – they thought they were progressive but this new college is another level. There’s daily yoga in the communal garden, a strong sustainability vibe and a group of kids who are popular for being… kind?! Viv is totally thrown by the college’s student-led, non-competitive approach, while Jackson is still struggling to get over Cal. Aimee tries something new by taking an Art A-Level and Adam grapples with whether mainstream education is for him. Over in the US, Maeve is living her dream at prestigious Wallace University, being taught by cult author Thomas Molloy. Otis is pining after her, whilst adjusting to not being an only child at home, or the only therapist on campus…

The fourth and final season debuts on September 21st.

What do you think? Have you kpet up with the Sex Education TV show? Are you disappointed there won’t be a fifth season, or does this feel like the right time to end the series?
