The Harts won’t be able to call FOX their home much longer. The network has cancelled the Bless the Harts TV show so there won’t be a third season.
An animated family sitcom, the Bless the Harts TV show stars the voices of Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Jillian Bell, Ike Barinholtz, and Kumail Nanjiani. Guests in the second season include Ken Jeong, Kristen Schaal, and Natasha Lyonne. The Harts are a Southern family that is always broke and struggling to make ends meet. Though they haven’t achieved the American dream, the family feels rich in friends, family, and laughter. If only those could pay the bills. Jenny Hart (Wiig) is a single mother who supports her family working as a waitress in the small town of Greenpoint, North Carolina. She’s often butts heads with (or schemes with) her lottery scratcher-obsessed mother, Betty (Rudolph), and her witty, creative daughter, Violet (Bell). Thankfully, Jenny has her eternal optimist boyfriend, Wayne Edwards (Barinholtz), and Jesus (Nanjiani) in her corner. The series is based on the early life of series creator Emily Spivey.
Airing on Sunday nights, the second season of Bless the Harts averages a 0.46 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.29 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 46% in the demo and down by 42% in viewership.
The second season will finish airing in May. It’s unclear how many episodes remain in the season but 15 have aired thus far.
Bless the Harts won’t be back for the 2021-22 season but other animated FOX shows have already been confirmed to return. Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, The Great North, and The Simpsons have all been renewed. New series Housebroken and season two of Duncanville start airing in May. The network has also ordered an as-yet-untitled animated comedy from Dan Harmon.
One of the TikTok dance creators who didn’t get credit last week in a controversial ‘Tonight Show’ bit has mixed feelings about what went down … and her mom does too.
Mya Johnson tells TMZ … she was initially excited to see her “Up” challenge — which she choreographed with her friend Chris Cotter back in February — made it all the way to Jimmy Fallon‘s show.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
But, Mya says she also couldn’t help but wish she and Chris would have been invited on TV to perform their dance … instead of Addison Rae.
As we told you … Fallon and Addison are catching flak for their segment where she taught Jimmy how to do 8 popular TikTok dances, none of which she created.

People are upset ‘The Tonight Show’ didn’t give proper attribution to the Black creators of the dances. Addison told us they definitely deserve the credit and she supports them, but her response has left people unsatisfied as well.
One of those people is Mya’s mother, Candice Rangel, who says Addison’s comments came off a bit insincere. However, she also doesn’t believe Addison had bad intentions … and offers suggestions for how she can make things right.
Mya, on the other hand, says there’s no bad blood between her and Addison … and she’s down to collab with her in the future too.
EXCLUSIVE: On Saturday, the frequencies of Fox Sports, Discovery, the BBC, ITV, and many other broadcasters will be tuned to the Empty Quarter in the Saudi Arabian desert. It’s a landscape that could be mistaken for Tatooine in the Star Wars universe, but come the weekend, it will be home to the most extreme motorsport event ever created, featuring a dazzling collection of drivers from racing worlds including Formula 1 and rallying.
Welcome to Extreme E, the brainchild of Formula E founder Alejandro Agag. The Spaniard wanted to double down on his electric motor racing fixture (now in its seventh season) with a new event that really revs the engines of his environmental message. Like a traveling circus, Extreme E will journey via a refitted cargo ship to four extreme locations around the globe over the course of 2021, staging races in geographies that highlight the increasingly brutal impact of climate change. The Saudi Arabian dust bowl brings with it warnings about desertification, while a trip to an icefield in Greeland over the summer will highlight rising sea levels.
Extreme E is also about equality. For the first time, women will drive bespoke electric SUVs alongside men in the competition. All of the nine teams are made up of a male and female driver, and they each complete one circuit of the track before swapping for the final lap. Among the pairings are rally legend Carlos Sainz and Trial World Champion Laia Sanz, as well as former F1 champion Jenson Button and Scirocco R-Cup competitor Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky. Formula 1 superstar Lewis Hamilton also has an interest in the sport through his X44 team, which is made up of nine-time FIA World Rally champion Sébastien Loeb and Cristina Gutiérrez, the first Spanish woman to finish the Dakar Rally.
The producers responsible for bringing this all to television are the two All3Media-backed companies behind Formula E’s coverage: Aurora Media and North One. The companies’ respective leaders, Lawrence Duffy and Neil Duncanson, have helped design Extreme E from the wheels up through their co-venture Extreme E Studios. “Normally, we are parachuted into an existing sport to, in the immortal words of broadcasters around the world, reimagine it — normally, for less money,” North One CEO Duncanson jokes. “This occasion is quite unique, because it has enabled us to create something extraordinary, but that also speaks to something that is so important to this current generation and future generations, without being seen to be worthy.”
The initial thinking was to record the event, but Duffy says he convinced Extreme E to broadcast the races live and in doing so “created a rod for our own backs” because of the complexity involved in shooting the spectacle in such remote locations. Indeed, Duncanson says it is more challenging than anything he has previously produced. “The degree of difficulty involved in pulling this off is off the chain,” he adds. “I’m not sure all of it will work first time out of the box, if I’m honest.”
The Empty Quarter is a rocky sandpit located a couple of hundred miles from the Red Sea. It’s not the kind of environment that lends itself to the remote radio frequency cameras Aurora and North One are using around a nine-kilometer race track. A total of 40 cameras are being used to film the race, including three drones and onboard cameras, while Duncanson says the small, multi-tasking crew features DC and Marvel camera operators, who will give the coverage cinematic scale. The location team will send footage over to a production facility in London, where graphics (powered by Unreal Engine from Fortnite makers Epic Games) and commentary are layered on top of 30 hours of race coverage before it is beamed to more than 40 broadcasters around the world.
“It’s the most sophisticated, progressive, modern way of making this type of TV,” says Aurora’s Duffy. There are no dress rehearsals either. “Normally, we’d want to have what we call an event simulation. We’d have at least one, sometimes we’ve had two. Here, we’ve had zero. And it’s entirely down to the pandemic,” Duffy explains. “We’re practicing on the Friday (today) and then Saturday, boom, it’s the race. It’s out of the box, guerilla TV.”
And it’s not just the race itself they’re shooting. Extreme E Studios is creating a 20-part supporting series, as well as 300 social media films, which all aim to tell the environmental story around the race, without patronizing the audience. Duncanson elaborates: “It’s about creating noise and building an audience that would otherwise perhaps not watch a program about climate change and its impact. At the same time we’re interviewing Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, or Jenson Button, there’s also a scientist explaining in very lay terms what desertification means to a guy sat in a flat in London.”
Despite the complexity and the pandemic, Duffy and Duncanson are optimistic about the new sport they have helped create and its potential to become an annual fixture. “I’ve been involved in a lot of motorsports over the years and it is quite niche and siloed, but this has actually got quite a broad base to it. We’re hopeful that rather than alienating some of those niche fans, we will actually throw a net around a larger number of viewers,” Duncanson says.
That theory will be tested tomorrow, when the drivers hit the desert.

Even Snoop Dogg could learn a thing or 2 about marijuana from Greg Kelly — that is IF you buy the Newsmax host’s “don’t do drugs” story … but almost no one does.
Kelly is telling what he views as a cautionary tale about pot, claiming “SMOKING WEED (aka GRASS) is NOT a good idea.” Okay, get past his use of the term “grass” … he’s a man of a certain age, after all.
Anyway, Kelly claims he “toked up” back in the day with some friends in Kentucky “and woke up 4 days later in Nairobi, Kenya. With no idea what happened.” Say whaaaat, Greg???
Based on Twitter’s response, the news anchor’s marijuana warning went up in smoke. Very few people believe this actually happened, or … if it did happen we’ve got a newsflash for Greg — that wasn’t weed you were smoking, bro!!!
Kelly even claims his alleged half-baked experience was worse than anything that President Biden‘s son, Hunter, went through. ICYMI … Hunter just opened up about his crack addiction in a new memoir.
As for what the hell Greg “Smokey” Kelly might have really been puff puff passing? Well, he might wanna re-watch “Friday.”
Now when friends ask, “how high?” … just say Greg Kelly high. Thanks for the warning, Smoke Dog!
Big Sky’s return is less than two weeks away, and we have some great news for fans:
The midseason premiere will span two hours and will introduce fans to a killer new mystery that is sure to up the stakes like never before.
“Three months after Ronald’s escape, Cassie and Jenny have officially partnered up to take down a fresh slew of troublemakers, but all isn’t coming up roses; Ronald is still on the loose, a domestic case takes a macabre and deadly turn, and a U.S. Marshall is sticking his nose in their case files,” reads the network’s description for the event.
Right as the women of Dewell & Hoyt seem to be getting used to the new normal, Jenny gets an alarming call from an old flame; leading her and Cassie headfirst into a new case, a new jurisdiction and a whole lot of new trouble.”
The logline concludes with the following:
It’s time to meet the Kleinsassers.
Is this the new family set to play a pivotal part in the back half of Big Sky Season 1?
We think so!
Deadline reported back in January that Michelle Forbes, Britt Robertson, Michael Raymond-James, Ryan Dorsey, and Omar Metwally had all been added in recurring guest roles.
The outlet revealed that Forbes, Robertson, Raymond James, and Dorsey would all be playing family members, while Metwally is on board as a U.S. Marshall.
Mojo Jojo’s legacy continues on in The Powerpuff Girls universe as Nicholas Podany is set to play the villain chimp’s son in the CW’s live-action Powerpuff pilot.
Written by Diablo Cody and Heather Regnier and directed by Maggie Kiley based on the original Cartoon Network animated series created by Craig McCracken, Powerpuff (fka The Powerpuff Girls) follows Blossom (Chloe Bennet), Bubbles (Dove Cameron) and Buttercup (Yana Perreault), who used to be America’s pint-sized superheroes. Now they’re disillusioned twentysomethings who resent having lost their childhood to crimefighting. Will they agree to reunite now that the world needs them more than ever?
Podany’s nerdy, power-hungry, insecure Joseph “Jojo” Mondel Jr. was obsessed with the original crime-fighting trio of supergirls, despite his father’s grudge against them. As an adult, Jojo finds his sweetness and rage constant battle. In the original cartoon series, Mojo Jojo posed as the super-powered trio’s main adversary. Before the battles against Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup, Mojo Jojo served as a chimpanzee assistant to Professor Utonium in his lab where he accidentally caused the accident that created the Powerpuff Girls, and altered his own DNA.
Powerpuff is produced by Berlanti Productions and Vita Vera Films in association with Warner Bros. Television. Cody and Regnier executive produce with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, David Madden and Kiley. Erika Kennair produces.
The Summertime Dropouts and Hart of Dixie actor joins the cast consisting of Chloe Bennet, Dove Cameron and Yana Perrault, who will play Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup, respectively. Scrubs star Donald Faison will take on Professor Drake Utonium, the Powerpuff Girls’ creator and father figure.
Podany’s additional credits include Archive the shorts Downloads, The Ballad of Sherriff Kid McLain, Thicker and Passage 379. He also acted in The Ballerina, Her Shoemaker and His Apprentice, Welcome Home, Loser and Black Water. He is repped by AMT Artists and HCKR, and managed by Michal Zecher at MZ.MGMT.NY.

John Cena‘s decision to participate in a Nickelodeon hidden-camera show helped an 8-year-old kid SAVE HIS BABY SISTER FROM CHOKING!!!
Seriously — it’s an unbelievable story!
8-year-old Jaxson Demsey was on a family outing in Hazleton, Pennsylvania over the weekend — when he noticed his 20-month-old sister was having trouble breathing.
Fortunately for the Demsey family, Jaxson had watched an episode of the Nickelodeon show, “The Substitute” … which featured a cameo from WWE superstar John Cena.
Cena was disguised as a CPR instructor on the hidden-camera show — and was tasked with teaching a group of kids how to perform chest compressions in case of a choking emergency.
Clearly, the show made an impression on Jaxson — because when his sister needed help, he sprung into action and successfully dislodged a McNugget!
“We were driving to my haircut, and I noticed she was starting to choke from a chicken nugget from McDonald’s,” Jaxson told WNEP … “I told my dad to pull over. Then I was starting to pat on her back, and it got out.”
After the incident, he credited Cena for teaching him the life-saving skills he needed that day!
“In the very first episode [of ‘The Substitute’], John Cena was on it, and in the last part, he showed how to save someone when they’re choking.”
Jaxon’s dad, Matt, was thankful his son stepped up in this situation, but he wasn’t surprised.
“He amazes us every day, you know — some of the things he says and does, and his actions. We’re simply blessed to have the child that he is, the things that he does for his family, his friends, for his little sister. He’s a good big brother.”
